Dear members of Early Warning Network,

Following the call for candidatures for the Board of the Early Warning Network, I would like to put forward my application to join the Board.

By joining the Board, I seek to strengthen cooperation between Early Warning Europe and SME support organisations, to enhance the visibility of the network, and to promote the exchange of best practices among national systems. I am committed to advancing a culture of second chance and supporting sustainable entrepreneurship throughout Europe.

SMEunited is invested to ensure the voice of SMEs is reflected in EU policymaking and that entrepreneurs receive the guidance and support they require to thrive. As a social partner, SMEunited plays a key role and has developed a strong network with policy makers and stakeholders. This specific position enables the organisation and myself to cooperate with European Institutions to develop policy fit for SMEs and ensure entrepreneurs receive the appropriate support throughout the different steps of the life of their companies.

Our extensive network of national member organisations, allows us to reach out to businesses in all sectors and regions of Europe, including those facing financial distress or in need of restructuring. This close connection to SMEs enables us to contribute valuable insights on prevention, early intervention, and recovery mechanisms that truly meet entrepreneurs’ needs.

I remain at your disposal for further information you might require on this application and I look forward to contributing to the work of the Board of the network.

Yours sincerely,

Véronique Willems
Secretary General
